Anasounds that are available both in assembled versions but also in self-welding kits, for those who want to understand what is happening in the bowels of their pedalboard. At first glance, one could imagine that the Ego Driver is a classic green overdrive, which has seduced Stevie Ray Vaughan as much as Joe Bonamassa, Steve Vai, John Mayer or John Petrucci.
We find the usual controls of gain, volume and tone, but there are also two switches that allow you to choose three voicings and three different types of clipping, for nine possible combinations in total, ranging from clean boost without diodes to OCD style sound. You even have the possibility to choose your capas and diodes for the central position of the two switches, which multiplies the possibilities even more.
A green overdrive can help you sound like the others, but to sound like yourself nothing beats the Ego Driver!
