Delivered in a cover, the Tramontane Travel RC LAG is a travel-sized acoustic folk guitar (short tuning fork), featuring a solid red Cedar table, a mahogany bottom/splice/neck trio, a Brownwood fingerboard and a Micro-Lâg recording system. Brownwood is an ideal substitute for Rosewood, made from short-cycle pines native to New Zealand.
The wood is first dried until it reduces its humidity to 10% and then impregnated with catalyst and pigmentation agents in pressure vessels. Second drying phase to bring its humidity to 2 or 3% before performing a second impregnation under pressure, this time of resin.
The 3rd phase consists of compressing it to lose up to 40% of its mass and densify it. Last phase: fine sanding for a perfect appearance and contact.
