The MEL9 is an effect pedal that emulates the mythical sounds of the Mellotron, a vintage instrument born in the early 60s, based on the principle of playing sounds recorded on magnetic tapes played in a loop, with as many reading heads as keys on the keyboard. (The Mellotron is generally considered to be one of the first samplers).
