TECH 21 Tri-OD

The TRI-O.D. can be used with any amp/combo, or to drive a power amp and guitar speakers. Although it is designed primarily for live performance, you can also record directly with each of the pre-voice lamp amp sounds.

A foot switch takes you through three completely different lamp amp characters. When you switch channels, there is a clear difference in the overall sound, not just in the gain structure and equalizer. Each independent channel has its own Drive and Level controls, allowing you to adjust them relative to each other. The volume control of the main output section can then be set for the special occasion - songwriting at sunrise or grinding at the local Grunge-O-Rama. Because each channel can be disabled, you can designate the number of channels you want to switch between: every 3, 2, 1 alone, or even none.

Disabling the 3 channels allows you to use only the speaker simulator and the main output section. This feature is useful when you want to record directly using any other preamp, fuzz, or effect unit in your collection.

True channel switching with a single pedal is another innovation TECH 21. The custom pedal actuator provides a smooth transition between channels for instant switching. Although deceptive in design, you are never more than two steps away from the sound you want.
