More Sounds, More Versatility

The Katana MkII range of stage amps further enhances the progress made by the previous generation, building on the same sounds that made the range an international success. If you liked the first Katana amps, you'll love the Katana MkII amps. And if you're not familiar with this range, be prepared for sounds, sensations and versatility far superior to what can be expected in this price range.

Five Amp Features,Ten Sounds In Total

The five primary amp features offer a wide range of sounds, from organic vintage sounds to modern high-gain sounds to sounds optimized for electro-acoustic guitars. They are now more numerous thanks to new variations that will allow you to benefit from new sound modeling options.

Five effects at a time

The Katana MkII now incorporates five simultaneous categories of effects, providing you with the built-in power of a massive pedalboard. The Booster, Mod, FX, Delay, and Reverb independent sections are available with three variations for each, providing 15 ready-to-play effects to choose from. Connecting them to BOSS Tone Studio allows you to go even further in terms of settings: more than 60 types of effect are available, which can be placed in different orders within four different channels.

Powerful sound inAll Circumstances

Featuring the Tube Logic BOSS concept, a Katana MkII produces the authentic output distortion characteristics of tube amps, with the sound becoming richer and the response changing as the volume increases. But unlike tube amps, the variable power Power Control of the Katana MkII makes it possible to find the ideal sound at various volumes, and not to risk being chased from a bar or home! Adjust the volume according to where you play, from the stage to your room, while enjoying a distorted sound of lamps.

Amplify Your External Devices

The Katana-Head MkII amp head can also be used as an amp for your preamp, amp modeling or multi-effect. Connecting to the Power Amp In port on the back panel cuts the Katana MkII's preamp and effects, giving you direct access to the Tube Logic section and the Power Control. And in BOSS Tone Studio, the input can be optimized for different instruments with high-pass filter and adjustable gain.

A unique reminder button forPersonal Settings

One of the most powerful features of the Katana-Head MkII is its ability to memorize channel and effect settings in Tone Setting memories, in order to instantly recall them. When you have adjusted your sound from the front panel controllers, it is easy to save the values obtained at the touch of a button. Eight Tone Setting memories (two banks of four) are available, easily accessible on the front. And to manage all this without hands in concert, you just need to connect external footswitches or a GA-FC foot controller.

Connection and control

The Speaker Out output of the Katana-Head MkII can be connected to your favorite 8 or 16 ohm baffle. And thanks to the built-in monitoring speaker, you can check your sounds and work on your instrument anywhere, without additional hardware. Experienced musicians will appreciate the MIDI input, for easy use of the amp in a configuration with MIDI controllers and various switches.

Worry-free stereo

A Katana MkII has great sound, but two sound even better. The new Stereo Expand feature simplifies the chaining of two amps using a standard cable. You can control everything from the main Katana MkII and use stereo-compatible effects like Chorus, Delay, Reverb and others, distributed on both amps to produce a wider and immersive sound. Stereo Expand is available on all Katana MkII 100 watt models.

Sounds Ready for Mixing

The Katana-Head Mk-II offers Line, USB and headphone/recording outputs with mic sound simulation, allowing you to send a ready-to-mix amp sound to a sound system, music creation software or headphones. Direct sound can be modeled using three different Air Feel mood settings, accessible in BOSS Tone Studio. Two-channel USB operation allows you to enjoy true stereo with modulation, Delay and Reverb effects, as well as the Katana's EQ.

A Compact Amp

The GA-FC foot controller is the ideal partner for the Katana-Head MkII. It connects using a standard cable, requires no power supply, is sturdy and stylish, and occupies minimal space. With six switches on your foot, you can directly recall the sound settings and independently turn on/off the five effects sections. The GA-FC also supports external switches and expression pedals, with default assignments that include tap tempo, bank selection, volume pedal, and expression pedals. A wide variety of custom assignments are available through BOSS Tone Studio, including expression pedal control up to three parameters simultaneously.

ImprovementsBOSS Tone Studio

BOSS Tone Studio evolved with Katana MkII amps. Its interface has been refreshed, and many settings have been placed on the main screen to simplify operations. A Pedal FX category is now available, making it easier to assign the effects of Wah-Wah and Bend to an expression pedal. And if you have a first-generation Katana amp, you can import your patches into a Katana MkII.
