The MATON EBG 808 TE Tommy Emmanuel signature is synonymous with a lively, dynamic and powerful sound.

For the most part, Australian wood species such as Queensland maple, Queensland walnut, Australian black wood and, as an alternative to cedar or spruce, Bunya, a very hard wood that grows only in Australia, are used for the top. The collars are made in Maton exclusively from Queensland maple. This very hard and often "unspectacular" wood is an important element for the Maton, clear and percussive sound that world-class guitarists like Tommy Emmanuel, Michael Fix and many others appreciate so much.

With Queenland maple splices and bottom and a solid spruce table, the EBG 808 Maton produces extremely warm and powerful sound in all frequency ranges. The medium frequencies in particular are convincingly confident and are highly appreciated by fingerstylers.

Particular emphasis was placed on the amplification of acoustic sound. That's why Maton Guitars relies exclusively on his own company's pickup creations. The instrument, preamplifier and microphone are perfectly matched. This is the only way to make an acoustic guitar lively, dynamic and powerful even at very high volumes, as only a guitar Maton can do.

Maton Guitars, the undisputed number one in the Premier League of Guitar Manufacturers in Australia, is the first choice of many high-level international guitarists. Founded in 1946 by Bill May, Maton is today one of the world's longest-standing manufacturers. Thanks to the spatial distance from the homeland of the acoustic guitar, America, Maton was able to develop an independent concept.
