Metal is in Ghost's DNA, and their signature guitar had to convey that. There is also the original tuning fork of 25.5" (some recent models of RD have a tuning fork of 24.75"), but not the active electronics. Hagstrom may be specialized in retro models with, often, original electronics, the Fantomen plays the card of simplicity. So there are classic humbucker microphones with Alnico magnets.
The Swedish microphone manufacturer was responsible for the design of the humbuckers. Nevertheless, the microphones are stamped "Lundgren Design" and not Lundgren at all, which suggests a manufacture outside the usual factories of the brand, probably in China. Indeed, as the majority of production Hagstrom since the rebirth of the brand in the mid-2000s, the Fantomen is made in China.
