Akai MPX16 Sampler with 16 Pads

The MPX16 is a new portable sample player, with sample recording capabilities in . WAV using SD memory cards as support, synonymous with ease and reliability for live performances or studio situations. Like the popular MPX8, samples are triggered internally using the ultra-sensitive MPC-type Pads or from an external MIDI device via the USB/MIDI link or via the MIDI input connector. Conversely, the MPX16's Pads can also control the other MIDI devices in your studio.

Samples are recorded with CD quality by the two audio inputs in 6.35mm Jack or via the built-in stereo microphone and then saved to an SD memory card. The user can then assign his samples to the different Pads of his choice to apply the functions of Tuning, filters and envelope to create his own dynamic performance. The LCD screen and backlit Pads allow viewing of game information during use. It is obviously possible to load your own already existing samples on an SD card for use with the MPX16 and assign them, at your convenience, by simply dragging and dropping thanks to the Mac and PC editing software provided.
