Heir to the famous mixing consoles used in the biggest studios, the SSL 2+ features a "Legacy 4K" analog reinforcement circuit, in homage to the legendary SSL4000 console that inspired it, used by the greatest sound engineers such as Chris Lord-Alge (Green Day, Muse...) or Andy Wallace (Linkin Park, Coldplay...). This switch adds that subtle but inimitable musical touch to your sound that is unique to these expensive analog consoles, instantly distinguishing your recordings from others. Quality true to the brand's reputation

Designed for musicians and producers, the SSL 2+ features 2 XLR/jack combo inputs equipped with Neutrik connectors, individual gain control and ALPS branded potentiometers. These connections feed two superb SSL-designed mic preamps with enough gain to give donner a punchy sound to any mic you connect. The inputs have a 48V phantom power supply to power condenser mics, and are switchable to line level - to connect a digital piano or music production system for example - and high impedance -HI-Z- to connect a guitar directly to the interface

An ultra complete collaborative platform

The SSL 2+ presents a complete set of outputs, richer than the more solo oriented SSL 2. In addition to the two monitoring outputs in jack format, the SSL 2+ offers a pair of unbalanced RCA outputs transmitting the same signal as the outputs in jack format, as well as a second pair of RCAs returning the signal of USB channels 3 and 4, whose level is adjustable via the DAW. The SSL 2+ also features two professional headphone outputs equipped with NJR high-powered amps with independent gain control, and a "3 & 4" switch on the B-headphones to pre-listen to USB channels 3 and 4 if necessary. The interface allows you to listen to the signal coming directly from your instruments by setting the Monitor Mix knob to the far left, or the signal coming back from the computer to the right, or even both channels of an instrument connected to both inputs (such as a keyboard) by pressing the Stereo switch. Finally, the very complete SSL 2+ features a Midi input and output to drive compatible external devices, such as keyboards or drum machines

A complete production bundle

The SSL 2+ is indeed delivered with two production software (DAWs), Avid Pro Tools First, true standard, completed with a collection of 23 AAX plugins by SSL exclusive, as well as Ableton Live Lite for producers. This interface also offers you a license for Native Vocalstrip 2 and Drumstrip plugins, for vocals and drums, as well as a 6-month free trial to all other Native SSL plugins, but also to Native Instruments Komplete Start offering 2000 customizable sounds and Hybrid Keys, dedicated to piano and synth samples. This ultra-complete package is rounded out by 1.5GB of samples from the Loopcloud application, dedicated to loops and ready-to-use samples
